Bruce was close to her mother, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2012, while she is estranged from her father. Her family's seat is Tottenham House, set on a 4,500-acre estate in Wiltshire near Savernake Forest, and she and her brother grew up at Savernake Lodge on the estate. She has an older brother, Thomas Brudenell-Bruce, Viscount Savernake. She was a social butterfly: she had a lot of friends and enjoyed talking to them on the phone. She was very much aware of the world around her and would often call Bridgett to ask for clarification on a world event because she wanted to understand it better. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, had a sharp mind and an amazing memory. One of her favorite things in life was traveling all over the East Coast on motorcycles with her husband, Winston and several other couples. She had a zest for life, loved to laugh and was always up for a road trip. She would always find the bright spot and the silver linings in every situation, and she passed that gift onto her daughter, Bridgett. She was employed at the Hercules plant for a number of years and later worked in the housekeeping department at The Homestead. She is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Angie Broce and their children a niece, Robin Armentrout Mason and her children two nieces and spouses of her sister, Anna Vaughn Carol and Donnie Perdue and Linda and Nicki O'Brien and her best friend, Carol Patterson, whom she loved like a sister. Broce, whom she loved like a son, and his wife. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Bridgett Armentrout-Edwards and husband, Matthew L. Armentrout and her in-laws, James Robert (Daddy Bob) Armentrout and Anna Kelly Armentrout. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Winston Kelly Armentrout a brother-in-law, Norris G. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and she was the last surviving member of the Adwell siblings.
